Assignment Notes

Let's all keep notes and assignments here so that we can build our own repository.

Human Services 101 - Final Paper - every semester

Venesse Metcalf sent me her final paper prompt.

She provides citations to articles that they need to find then summarize.

I added a the How to find an article when you know the title and author video to her class shell and made an announcement to her class. All of these articles are in EBSCOHost. (SP22 - I am no longer embedded in her class so they don't have the video I made for them unless she has kept it in her class.-ibc.)

HUMSR - 111 - Case Conceptualization - Torres (FA2020)

After contacting Ruthie, we found out that:

The information has been posted on Canvas as well as a live Zoom meeting head yesterday at 10 am (12/1/2020) for support.

Therefore, refer her students to their Canvas class shell.

Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher
The Night of the Gun : A Reporter Investigates the Darkest Story of His Life. His Own. by David Carr
Permanent Midnight by Jerry Stahl

Beautiful Boy : A Father's Journey Through His Son's Addiction by David Sheff

How to Murder Your Life : A Memoir by Cat Marnell
We Are the Luckiest : The Surprising Magic of a Sober Life by Laura McKowen

HUMSR 116-DRUGS AND ALCOHOL IN SOCIETY - Williams-Jackson

Summer 2018: Students are being asked to write a 3--page essay on a drug, addressing specific points as described in the attached PDF. There is confusion regarding the instructor's definition of an "academic" source, as she seems to have lumped in "trade publications" with "academic" sources per the "Know Your Sources" grid she handed out to students. Asked instructor question to clarify citation requirements.
