PolSci 101--Kerri Stephens Spring 2023

POLSCI 101 annotated Bibs Spring 2020

There are two Poly Sci (I'm assuming 101) Instructors who have assigned Annotated Bibliographies

One, from Kerri Stephens,  is preparation for the assignment that I've run into before where they have to talk about how each branch of the government has affected an issue. I’ve attached what I was able to get from the student, but it doesn’t describe the whole assignment.  Note that they can use any citation style, which makes me think she’s not that picky.

The other instructor is Sonia Moctezuma, and she has them looking for similar topics. However, the student I talked to didn’t seem to think that they had to tie it to government at this point. I’m assuming that they actually do. I e-mailed Sonia, but haven’t heard anything yet. The student said they only needed 3 sources. This is the prompt the student provided, although I don't know is this is paraphrased:

The purpose of this assignment is to help students get a better understanding of their issue. Students are to choose 3 news articles that are related to their topic and summarized them. Articles should be recent, no older than 18 months. These sources must also be reliable and non-bias (no opinion pieces, op-ed, blogs, letters to the editor, personal stories).

POLSCI 101 - Kerri Stephens' Assignment _ SP2017

I spoke to four sections of Kerri's class this week about this assignment that she apparently emailed to them (after I presented).
