Students who either are physically unwell or disclose they are in the midst of a crisis - walk them to Health Services - Morris Building 108 or YH 114. Students are eligible to receive up to 6 sessions with a licensed therapist.
Refer students to Health Services and TimelyCare. Modesto Junior College students have no cost, 24/7 access to virtual mental health care services with TimelyCare including live phone consultation with a licensed therapist. No insurance needed. Get started here.
MJC offers vouchers for qualifying students who are unhoused. Vouchers help pay for part or all of their rent or could be used for temporary shelter. Help connect them with the Office of Basic Needs. Since the student disclosed information to you, then it is best practice to do a warm handoff to the Program Specialist, Jonathan Arias, x6459. If over the phone is not possible, then connecting the two via email (with the consent of the student).
MJC offers qualifying students access to the Food Pantry. There is a 4-question intake form for F24 they must complete once per semester.
