Greenbelt flyerGreenbelt Writing for Fall 2025

What Is Greenbelt Writing?

Greenbelt Writing is a series of workshop to elevate your creative writing skills with the assistance of writing tutors.

Participants are led through a variety of creative writing prompts with the purpose of building writing skills. The works can then be shared with the group at the student's discretion in a completely judgement-free zone. Afterwards, tutors answer questions about particular prompts and how the skills learned through creative writing can be applied to academic writing.

Every workshop is different; each one in the series is intended as a standalone skill-sharpening workshop.

When & Where?

The workshops take place on Fridays at 2:00 p.m. in Room 134 at the East campus Library & Learning Center. Dates for Fall 2025:

  • September 19
  • October 3
  • November 7
  • December 5

No RSVP required; please show up to Study Room #134 at 2:00 on the scheduled dates.
