Click on SCHEDULE APPOINTMENT, above.
I usually hold Zoom appointments on evenings and weekends because I am off -campus. When I'm on campus I make myself available live and in person. However, I can easily switch in-person appointments to Zoom if that works better for you. Just say so in the notes and I'll send you a Zoom link.

If none of my posted availability works for you, please email me. We will make it work.

Welcome to Researching Writers and Their Work

This guide is designed to help students navigate independently through assignments requiring research on writers of all genres, as well as literary works like novels, short stories, poems, and plays. If you find you need additional help, please remember that MJC Research Librarians are happy to work with you and can help you in person at the reference desk, by phone, or email.

How This Guide Works:

  • You can work through the entire research guide by moving through the subject tabs on the left from top to bottom, or
  • You can pick and choose topics that interest you and jump around in the guide

For more thorough instructions on how to conduct successful research in general please check my Ready, Set, Research guide.

We welcome your comments and suggestions for making this guide more useful, so please feel free to send us your feedback by clicking on the Comments links located throughout the guide.
