This series of workshops is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to be an effective researcher. While we’ll focus on researching your group topics and completing the required literature review, my hope is that the tools you learn here will also serve you well in your classes, your future career, and your lifelong learning endeavors.
This guide is organized by workshop, and you can use it to revisit the resources, strategies, and examples we covered together.
That said, not everything we talk about will appear in this guide. It’s just one resource—and not even the best one. The best resources are human: your faculty mentor and your team of MJC research librarians. If you have questions about your research, you can always reach me by email or by appointment (my contact information is on the home page). I also have a team of amazing colleagues ready to support you. For example, Mike Leamy and Mary Hadlich, your West Campus librarians, are available at the West Campus L&LC four days a week. And don’t forget our Ask a Librarian service, linked below.
If you’re ever stuck, don’t spin your wheels—Ask a Librarian!
