March at the L & LC

During the month of March, MJC honors Women's History Month. Explore this special month with our Women's History Month research guide. Then come visit our L & LCs because we've got a slew of programs and events for the MJC community. Here's what's happening:  

  • Our Faculty AI Series with Jose Antonio Bowen continues on March 7, 14, and 21 
  • We are once again celebrating Pi Day at the West L & LC on Wednesday, March 12
  • This month's Latina Leadership Network's Career & Networking Speaker Series features Tzitzijanik Jazmin Serrano, MJC Academic Counselor. The presentation starts at 11:30 a.m.. Lunch provided by LLN; snacks provided by MJC Pantry. March 12 at the East L & LC. 
  • The 15th Annual International Grito de Mujer Festival takes place during the month of March; this year's theme is ending child marriage. MJC's local Grito event, a reading featuring poets from Mexico and the Central Valley, takes place on Wednesday March 19. 
  • Join us the last Friday of every month for Greenbelt Writing, a series of writing workshops designed to lead participants through creative writing prompts that build writing skills. This month's workshop is March 28 at 1:00 p.m.
