The results are in: In an informal poll, faculty who attended the first AI workshop on Jan. 31 (Session Video Recording (Passcode: Y51p2H!?) are almost unanimously united in their assessment of the presentation and of Bowen himself: He was engaging, the material was useful, and participants were eager for the more targeted March workshops. Even if you didn't attend the Jan. 31 keynote, you are strongly encouraged to join us at any or all of the March workshops:

Grito de Mujer/Woman Scream Poetry Event You're invited to be in community with us for a bilingual reading and communal cry for justice featuring poets from Mexico and the Central Valley.
Part of the International Grito de Mujer Festival which takes place every March, this event is a link in a chain of simultaneous events in more than 30 countries. The 2025 theme, “It’s Not a Game,” focuses on ending the practice of child marriage.
Refreshments will be served. All are welcome to attend! Event partners Generación Igualdad & Poesía y Arte Curando el Alma.

Greenbelt Writing Workshop Join MJC Staff and Tutors in a creative writing workshop each last Friday of the month at the East L & LC. Participants are led through a variety of creative writing prompts with the purpose of building writing skills. The works can then be shared with the group at the student's discretion in a completely judgement free zone. Afterwards, tutors answer questions about particular prompts and how the skills learned through creative writing can be applied to academic writing.
