Library Operations During Coronavirus 2019 Outbreak: L & LC

RESEARCH HELP

Here's an update regarding our research help services:

  • Librarians will be offering online research assistance via our Ask a Librarian service.
  • Students and employees have online access to tens of thousands of ebooks. During this crisis, EBSCOhost is allowing simultaneous use of all of their ebooks, even if the original license was single use.

INTERNET ACCESS

Comcast has just announced they have opened their Xfinity WIFI network for free: https://corporate.comcast.com/covid-19 or call (855) 846-8376. 

Charter has announced that it is offering free Spectrum internet to students lacking connectivity. Call 1-844-488-8398. 

LIBRARY SERVICES

In-person library services (check out, test proctoring, study rooms, etc.) are suspended until further notice. 

We're currently working to waive fines for checked-out materials that become due and automatically extending all due dates so that fines and fees will not accrue while MJC is in remote-learning mode. 

Interlibrary loan services are unavailable. 

Tutoring appointments are being conducted remotely. Please visit TUTORING for information.
